The Willow Tree
Muddy says: this gastropub, with its shabby chic vibe, is like no other tucked away in the village of Bourn with a tipi, secret meadow and enchanting garden. It needs to be experienced to be believed.
The Willow Tree is tucked away in the village of Bourn which you’ll find midway between St Neots and Cambridge. It’s part of the restaurant group Feast and Frolic – which includes The Elitsley (Eltisley) and No. 77 (Caxton). There’s an elegant shabby chic restaurant, with an open fireplace and antique chandeliers so it’s cosy and intimate in winter. There’s also an al fresco terrace, a beautiful country garden with its own Tipi and large fire-pit, and a whimsical meadow at the back. The latter is a relatively new addition to the venue and is an idyllic spot to host a large gathering or erect a party marquee. The menu is filled with superlative ingredients cooked in a splendorous yet simple way. Expect theatrical twists in the dining and decor designed to enhance your Willow Tree experience. The garden creates endless possibilities in the summer months and plays host to the annual Willow Fest, a family friendly music and food event.
The Willow Tree regularly holds events throughout the year including their Tee hee in the Tipi comedy nights, gin club and jazz Sundays. There’re open 7 nights a week for food so you always know you’re going to get fed!
If you looking for a magical wedding venue with a vintage vibe then The Willow Tree with its unusual layout offers flexibility to create the day of your dreams, either inside or out – or both.
