A plumping good balm
Pump up the pout without a needle in sight. Interested? Yeah me too. Check out the Plumping Lip Balm from Katherine Daniels
I’ve a childish aversion to needles (hence why I’m still Botox free) so any skincare range that states that it plumps or lifts without the need to stick something in my skin always gets more than a secondary glance from me. Here at Muddy Cambs we’ve been trialling the Katherine Daniels Plumping Lip Balm and the verdict is a definite thumbs up from the pout brigade.
Katherine Daniels is a salon based skincare range developed by two experts, whose combined 60-year knowledge and experience was gained with thousands of salons and therapists, who saw that there was a gap in the British salon market. The ethos is to treat the most common skin types and conditions, whilst taking into consideration client lifestyle, environment and our climate (little sleep and a bottle of Shiraz anyone)? I’m already a fan of a few of their products so I was happily up for an excuse to try another one.
I’ve never been graced with an Angelina Jolie pout but as I rock on towards my (*cough* thirties) I can’t help notice that my lips are getting thinner? This magic balm gives you lip volume as well as redefining your lip line. I’ve been applying twice a day and have been really impressed with the results. I can’t promise Rosie Huntington-Whiteley lips but they do look a little plumper and softer which gives a more youthful look. It works well as a primer for applying lipstick as it smoothes out creases and lines and makes the application look more professional.
How does it work? Let’s not get too technical but behind the scenes the balm contains Hyaluronic Acid Filling Spheres and these help to reconstruct the contour of the lips. If you want to know how to apply it – cue the cheesy music, here’s a little video to demonstrate.
As I hear you all grabbing your car keys you can get this plumping lip balm at Close Health and Beauty in Swineshead, a bijoux health and beauty salon which stocks high performance products backed by modern techniques. It costs £21.60.
If you’re thnking of buying it as a gift for someone or, what the heck -a treat yourself, then the Lip Edit Bundle combines the Plumping Lip Balm with the sell-out Perfect Colour Balm (£37.44). The latter gives 6 different lips looks as it interacts with the natural PH of the lips developing into a personalised shade of deep pink/red. A beautiful, buildable colour to take a day look into the night.
