What’s on this week Mon 23 Apr-Fri 27 Apr
MON 23 APR-FRI 27 APR
Enjoy an evening of horse racing for as little as £10 at Huntingdon Race Course this April. Evening racing is a real treat, so get your glad rags on, grab the girls and have a flutter. And don’t forget to avoid those shoes that make you look like you’ve had one too many as your heel unceremoniously quicksands you into the turf.

Bluebells are a must in April, so grab the family, find your nearest carpet of the blue beauties and just take a moment to enjoy this spectacular sight (as you try to ignore the other sight of the dog turning goon-like, rampaging all over the unsuspecting blossoms). Even the most gadget-obsessed little people are unable to resist the simple charm of a bluebell walk and Brampton Wood is a glorious site, full of wildlife, trees and unusual species, as well as being one of the county’s most ancient woodlands.

Juliet Stevenson and Lia Williams star in Schiller’s acclaimed political tragedy at the Arts Theatre in Cambridge this week. Robert Icke’s adaptation is embarking on a UK tour having opened at London’s Almeida in 2016. And in a quirky twist, the two leading characters of Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart are assigned to the actors at the beginning of each performance on the toss of a coin.

Silent Disco with a live band, La Raza, Fri 27 Apr
If you’re after a night out that will definitely put a smile on your face, then why not try a silent disco? You know that phrase ‘dance like nobody’s watching?’, well, this is time to practice. Disco boppers use wireless headphones to enjoy the full sound of a live band delivered right into your ears. Turn it up!
