Cambridge Beer Festival Mon 21-Sat 26 May, Jesus Green
Check out one of the oldest and largest beer festivals in the country this week on Jesus Green, with everything from cider, perry, cheese and wide range of vegan and gluten free beer options. The festival is run entirely by volunteers and is a great opportunity to try something new. And even if you’re not the pint-downing sort, there’s bound to be lots of free samples to delicately sip…(hiccup!)…

Burwash Manor Asparagus Feast, Barton, Sat 26 May
If ever asparagus was going to be child friendly, it’s at the Burwash asparagus feast. This annual festival is a celebration of the green stuff, and if you’ve had your fill, there’s food vans, a bar, cookery demonstrations and samplings.

Watch out Festival, Cambridge Junction, Sat 26 May
This annual festival of local, contemporary theatre returns to the Junction this Saturday, and as well as being able to catch some of the edgiest theatre around, there will be street food, a DJ, cocktails and craft beer. The Festival runs all day from 12pm and tickets are £20 for the whole day (£15 cons.)
