What’s on this weekend Fri 20 Apr-Sun 22 Apr
FRI 20 APRIL -SUN 22 APRIL
The English Touring Opera bring Mozart’s classic to the Arts Theatre this month. If you go only for the overture (is this the singularly most uplifting tune on the planet?), then you’ll have got your money’s worth. However, you will also have the opportunity to laugh at ladies in trousers, casual sexism and the ludicrously over-blown wigs, pinched cheeks and bloomers of 18th Century operatic costume.

Bluebells are a must in April, so grab the family, find your nearest carpet of the blue beauties and just take a moment to enjoy this spectacular sight (as you try to ignore the other sight of the dog turning goon-like, rampaging all over the unsuspecting blossoms). Even the most gadget-obsessed little people are unable to resist the simple charm of a bluebell walk and Brampton Wood is a glorious site, full of wildlife, trees and unusual species, as well as being one of the county’s most ancient woodlands.

Tez has graced our screens on Mock the Week, Live at the BBC and Channel 4’s The Last Leg, and now he brings his show to the Junction. The show has already received some great reviews, so make sure you grab the opportunity to see this stand-up with political bite.
