Former Artist in Residence Freddy Kempf returns for the penultimate concert in this year’s series, conducted by the celebrated conductor Yuri Botnari. Shostakovich’s Festive Overture; Rachmaninov’s Concerto No. 2 and Mussorgsky’s richly textured Pictures at an Exhibition will be played and if you want to get a chance to meet Freddy Kempf in person then the pre-concert talk is at the Cambridge University Press Bookshop, free to concert ticket holders.

Cheffins Art And Design Auction, Cheffins Fine Art, Cambridge, Thurs 11 May

Sue Rapley Art, Spring Open Studio, Sat 13 May
Sue Rapley is a Cambridge artist who works in a variety of media including oils, ink and watercolour and mixed media. Her work is full of colour and as well as landscapes the sea and water play a dominant theme in her work, drawing inspiration from different locations – from the Norfolk coast to Cornish waters and overseas to tropical islands. Sue is holding an open studio to showcase her latest work, you’ll find it close to Burwash Manor in Barton.
