About

Hi, I’m Hollie. Welcome to the Suffolk & Cambridgeshire Edition of award-winning lifestyle platform, Muddy Stilettos. The original Muddy Stilettos (Bucks/Oxon) has been running in its present form since Nov 2012 and has become so successful that it has moved into 25 further counties – Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Northants, Bedfordshire, Surrey, Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Somerset and Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire, the West Midlands, Wiltshire and, of course, our turf – Suffolk & Cambridgeshire.

After a decade living in other cities and countries, I realised there’s nowhere quite like home and brought my family back to where I grew up. As for my credentials, my journalistic career has included writing for lifestyle and specialist magazines and websites including You & Your Wedding, Square Meal, Forbetterforworse.co.uk and Family History Monthly. Travel, interiors, fashion and culture are my passions and I’m delighted to be bringing you the latest and greatest of all of these across our brilliant counties.

This is the Muddy Mantra, so you know what to expect from the site:

  1. I try everything out myself so that you can fully trust my opinions. On the occasions that I haven’t been somewhere myself, I let you know that’s the case.
  2. Muddy Stilettos is a commercial site and accepts advertising and payment to feature products and brands. However, I believe passionately in only working with brands that share my ethos and are relevant to my readers. I retain editorial control and independence at all times.
  3. I accept tickets to free shows, festivals, restaurants, events etc. with the purpose of reviewing or publicising them on Muddy Stilettos, as I’m sure you appreciate it’s pretty expensive zipping around trying stuff out all the time. Hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars – if you want me to try you out, please get in touch at: hollie@muddystilettos.co.uk or via Twitter @muddysuffcambs.
  4. I’ll never write a nasty review. I’m not into trashing people, brands or companies. But if you’re not good enough, I won’t write about you in Muddy Stilettos, regardless of whether I have paid for the experience or not. This gives me the editorial control I need and the trust that my readers demand.

I hope you love the site. Please sign up for my weekly free posts delivered to your inbox about all the cool bits happening in your county.

Hollie x
