Drum roll please…

Say hello to the Muddy Awards 2017 Cambridgeshire Finalists

Holy camoly, you voted in your thousands and it’s been a massive task of bean-counting but the scores are on the doors and names are in the frames – 137 businesses in 27 categories, all after your love!

There are loads of BRILLIANT Cambridgeshire businesses to vote for and come Wednesday they will be throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) at it. What makes it even more exciting is that you can watch the voting live on the blogero to see who’s taken the lead – I’m biting my nails already! Voting in the Final starts this Wednesday 7 June and voting starts at zero, previous votes are not counted.

Thank you to those of you who voted already – you’re support for all the gutsy local independents is hugely appreciated, and for the many businesses involved. I have mixed emotions today, as I’m obviously delighted for the businesses that go through but seriously gutted for those who don’t. If you didn’t make it through, then I hope 2018 is your year.

Anyway, check out all the finalists  and make sure you go and visit them – after you’ve voted!

If your name is listed above, congratulations! So what next?

  1. Please let me know ASAP if any of your names are spelt incorrectly or if any of the locations are wrong – winners get certificates and window stickers and I would hate for names to be wrong.
  2. We will then enter round 2 of the awards, which runs from midday on Weds 7 – 14 June. Voters can choose their favourites from the five finalists in each category and you will be able to watch the votes tot up live on the website – an oddly addictive experience! You’ve only got a week at this point to make it through, so you’ll need to keep up the good work through social media, etc. I’ve emailed you all some handy and easy marketing tools and tips,  if you haven’t received them yet do holler – via email:
  3.  Once we hit midday on 14 June, you’ll be able to see who has won – we will also email the winners directly.
    The Elistley
  4. Then, it’s party time (yay!). The Award winners drinks are kindly hosted by the brand spanking new The Eltisley, in the village of Eltisley on Thursday 22 June – go on, take a look as it’s looking rather swish.

Over and out, for now.
