TV stalwarts at the ready! Caroline Langrishe (Judge John Deed, Casualty) performs alongside Aden Gillet (Holby City, The Crown) and James Sutton (Hollyoaks) in Caroline’s Kitchen, a comical account of life behind the camera for a successful TV chef.

EXHIBITION: Whistler & Nature, The Fitzwilliam Museum, until Sun 17 Mar

This major exhibition of Victorian artist James McNeill Whistler’s paintings, sketches and prints explores his work in the context of attitudes to landscape in British art and design. A complementary exhibit ‘The Gentle Art: Friends and strangers in Whistler’s prints’ will run alongside in the Print Room from Tues 29 Jan, featuring the artist’s etchings of people.

MUSIC: Philharmonia Orchestra, Cambridge Corn Exchange, Fri 1 Feb

As part of Cambs Corn Exchange’s 29th Orchestral Concert Series, showcasing world class conductors, orchestras and soloists from around the globe, Philharmonia Orchestra and acclaimed Spanish violinist Leticia Moreno will kick off Feb with Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, inspired by Shakespeare’s Coriolanus.

COMEDY: Rory Bremner & Jan Ravens, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Sun 3 Feb

Impersonators extraordinaire, Rory Bremner and Jan Ravens, are joined by comedian Jo Caulfield for an evening featuring over 30 characters from Trump to Merkel, to Boris to Theresa for a night of hilarious satire.

ART: Louise Bourgeois, Artists Rooms, Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, until Mon 24 Mar 

This new exhibition of sculptures, prints and drawings by Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) traces pivotal moments in the artist’s long career. Julie Mehrutu exhibits alongside in her first UK solo exhibition.

Traders include burger hotspot Steak & Honour and Bao bun van Guerrilla Kitchen (I’ll take three, please!). foodPark also run markets on Wed in West Cambs, Thurs by the Science Park and Fri on Station Road.

EXHIBITION: Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams, Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Sat 2 Feb

This is going to be maaassive! The V&A is showing the largest House of Dior exhibition ever staged in the UK, tracing the history of Christian Dior and the six artistic directors who succeeded him. The exhibition is based on the major exhibition Christian Dior: Couturier du Rêve, organised by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, and there will be a new section exploring Dior’s fascination with British culture. A highlight will be the Christian Dior dress worn by Princess Margaret for her 21st birthday celebrations, on loan from the Museum of London.

COOK: Molecular gastronomy cooking class, Barclays Eagle Lab Cambridge, Sat 16 Feb

Calling all fledgling Heston Blumenthal’s (unfortunately I’m a one-pan wonder), a molecular gastronomy class is coming to Cambs. Each session, held in Barclays’ flagship innovation tank, includes appetisers, a tapas lunch, dessert, a glass of wine and tutorials on how to make your own culinary creations. Plus, it’s BYOB.
