An exciting new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s family classic, The Jungle Book, comes to life in this colourful new show brought to you by the team behind Goodnight Mister Tom and Michael Morpurgo’s Running Wild. Science Blast- the Great Scientistsis a blast of a show that brings you the life and experiments of 9 famous scientist. They had rave reviews at the Edinbrugh Festival so expect live demonstrations, experiments and audience participation involving explosions, high voltage electricity, lasers and the chance to electrocute your parents! It’s all very educational but more importantly outrageously funny.
Spring Pop Up: Mabel Fox, Cambridge, Sat 24 March
Mabel Fox is the creation of talented print artist Katherine Farrell. Her Scandi inspired designs are all hand carved original linocut prints featuring woodland and garden creatures and she has now extended her collection to include interior items and accessories. Her Pop Up Shop is a great opportunity to meet the artist and browse her vibrant collections.
Grantchester Sprting Art & Craft Show, Sat 24 – Sun 25 March
There is a serious art scene going on in Grantchester and there bi-annual shows have built quite a reputation for excellent quality and craftsmanship. Fifteen designe makers have been selected to exhibit their original hand make work, including ceramics, textiles, jewellery, paintings, prints, cards glass, wood turning and handmade chocolates. Better still it’s free, oh and did I mention there will be coffee and cakes!
